An exciting opportunity for a bright and motivated Senior Hardware Engineer to work with a small team building satellite communicators.
Duties:
Design and develop microprocessor controlled modem boards from concept to production. Perform design evaluations and tradeoffs. Work with development team to accomplish performance, cost, and delivery goals. Insure quality and accuracy for all released design documentation.
Requirements:
B.S. E.E. or B.S. Computer Engineering plus 8+ years work experience in the following areas: Design of microprocessor/microcontroller boards and associated circuitry Mixed-signal board design Generation of board-level design documentation and test plans Schematic design using OrCad, experience with PCB layout tools such as PADs PCB Experience with on-board DC power supply designs highly desired Experience with embedded controller applications highly desired Experience with AutoCad and/or Solid Works a plus Excellent communication and work organization skills a must

Document Control/Configuration Manager
The Documentation Manager is responsible for two main areas: Document Control and Configuration Management; ISO Certification Preparedness and Updates.
Document Control and Configuration: The Documentation Manager will be responsible for organizing and managing all Document-related activities, including:
- Assigning document and part numbers;
- Tracking, and rev level control of all new and currently released Production, Marketing, and Engineering documents;
- Design and management of the document control database, including tracking systems for ECO's and document rev level status.
- Responsible for interfacing with Engineering and Operations to ensure proper document formatting is performed on all new documentation and that all documentation is in place prior to manufacturing release;
- Responsible for analyzing changes of product design to determine the effect on the end product;
- Reviews released engineering change data; coordinates with Eng, QA and manufacturers to develop a process for change reporting;
- Keeps records to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies.
- Solid Works & Auto CAD experience is a plus;
ISO9000: In this task, the Doc Control Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Update the document format for procedural documentation that is consistent with ISO9000 requirements and company standards.
- This person will be required to work closely with all departments to determine exactly what processes are in place (ie: How we actually get our jobs done).
- With that information, the Doc Control Manager will be responsible for ensuring all processes are currently documented. If not, this person will work with the appropriate department head and QA to ensure the processes are documented properly.
- These procedures may be “owned” by other stakeholders, but the Doc Control Manager is responsible for releasing, updating, and maintaining these documents.
Requirements:
- Experience managing and executing Document Control processes in a small hi-tech company.
- Technical background; needs to have experience working with engineers to understand and deal with technical issues.
- Requires at least a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Experience working with both manual and computer based Document Control processes
- Experience implementing and facilitating the installation of, and training for, a Doc Control Software Package, such as Agile.
- Must be a self-starter and a “finisher”. The job requires someone who will drive open Documentation issues to rapid completion.

Sr. Project Engineer

Lead and mentor a team in the design and development of microprocessor controlled mixed-signal modem boards from concept through development, test and qualification, and into production. Lead system-level design evaluations and tradeoffs. Develop HW/SW Integration plans and conduct product acceptance testing. Plan and work with the development team to insure that performance, cost, and delivery goals are met. Insure quality and accuracy for all released design documentation.
Requirements:
B.S.E.E. 10+ years work experience in the following areas: Experience leading a board-level modem or mixed-signal embedded controller board design and development team from inception to manufacturing Experience with planning and coordinating hardware/software integration and unit performance test activities Experienced with module-level FCC/regulatory test and certification Experience leading and coordinating failure analyses and identifying root causes Ability to plan out work using MS Project a plus Excellent communication and team work organization skills a must

Detailed Description You will be working and contributing as a senior technical member of the engineering team. You will be responsible for designing and developing embedded low level software components that will run in a variety of Quake’s hardware platforms. Initial work includes all aspects of developing low level embedded software, such as (but not limited to): - boot loaders - device drivers and control functions for a variety of different hardware devices such as ARM microprocessors, TI digital signal processors, flash, SRAM, SDRAM, I2C devices, SPI devices, EEPROM, GPS, RTC, GPIO, analog devices, customized ASICs, USB, J1587/ J1708, CAN bus, UARTs, timers, DMA, various other multi-functional microcontrollers or peripherals - kernel interfaces (such as board support packages, interrupt handlers, hardware abstraction layers) - bringing up and debugging prototype and production boards - hardware test verification software - manufacturing test verification software - participating in design reviews - contributing new ideas
Requirements

Software Technical Manager
Overview An exciting opportunity for a software technical manager to lead of group of engineers in developing software applications. The candidate must have significant experience developing object oriented commercial software in .Net, VC++, or Java. Basic knowledge of embedded systems is a plus.

Software Test Engineer
Skills: Testing experience, C/C++, C#, operating systems
We have an exciting opportunity for a bright and motivated software test engineer to design, develop, and execute test cases and test configurations to ensure product quality and verify functionality prior to customer delivery. Primary responsibilities include designing and conducting tests, creating test plans, test cases, automating test suites, and software verification testing. The candidate must be a self-starter and have previous experience testing software.
Detailed Description You will be working and contributing as a technical member of the engineering team. You will be responsible for white and black box testing of various Quake products. Some embedded programming in C will be necessary for white box testing of Quake's embedded software APIs. Some C# programming will be necessary for automating the black box testing.
Requirements
- Computer Science or Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited university

Lead Manufacturing Test Engineer
The Lead Manufacturing Test Engineer will lead the development of production product tests from specification, through implementation and validation, and into production line installation and support. This position is responsible for all aspects of the development of production product testing, as well as facilitating the transition of the company’s products from engineering to manufacturing.
The successful candidate will bring knowledge, experience, and leadership in the areas of electronics production testing, performance test development, and test automation to help take the company to the next level of quality and efficiency.
This includes the following:
- Create manufacturing test plans during the design phase of product development
- Create manufacturing testing specifications and test procedures
- Specify manufacturing test equipment, fixtures, and software, and facilitate their design, integration, and validation
- Develop subject-matter expertise with quake’s existing product process tracking, testing tools and methodologies and propose, implement, and qualify improved methods with increasing levels of automation and automated data handling
- Support improvements in other operations activities and deliverables
- Support the resolution of other technical and/or logistical manufacturing issues as they arise
- Ability and experience in test software development highly desired
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience working as a lead in Manufacturing Test Development in an electronics production environment
- Ability to understand electronics products and create electronic production processes and design production tests which insure quality and performance of the product
- B.S. degree in Manufacturing (electronics), Computer Science or Electrical/Electronics Engineering
- Minimum 5 years Engineering experience
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in the RF communications industry a plus
